Devin's e mail

The next day was Monday and we received a letter from Devin. ( So glad, most of the phillippines have no power). in his area they received the heavy rain and the wind, no destruction. Devin sent some pictures of him standing out in the middle of the typhoon with his arms out and one of a tree blowing. He said the pictures look worse than it really was, but I don't think trees lie. Ha ha Devin and his companion made 72hour kits for the people before the storm came and they helped them evacuate to safer places. My heart goes out to all of the people in the philippines that have lost families and have no where to go. we are praying for them everyday.

Hurricane yolanda

Devin has been in the Philippines now for about a month. since he has been there they have had a 7.2 earth quake and a Super Typhoon. It was listed as a category 5, the largest typhoon ever recoded in history. We didn't hear from him for a few days so we didn't know how bad his area was. On Sunday I checked the e mail and the welfare missionaries wrote us saying that he was okay and they sent us pictures of devin with the other missionaries that share his apartment. Tears welled up in my eyes knowing that our prayers had been answered. I couldn't wait to get to church to tell cal!!
