E-mail from Devin!!!

Devin e-mailed us after two weeks and said that they are all okay.  They had to stay in their apartments, the winds were so strong.  It took two of them to hold the doors shut to their apartment.  One of the windows shattered to pieces.  Wind and rain was pouring into their apartment and his bed was right by the broken window.  It got soaked.  In the morning their apartment was flooded.  The trees were broken and the power lines were all down.  The rice fields looked like a lake/flood.  They don't have power so he went to Ligao City to e-mail us.  He has been doing service projects and cutting up trees with a machete.  He said that he didn't have much time to write but they are all safe.  Just what a mother wants to hear and know that my prayers have been answered.  I am so proud of Devin for going on a mission and serving our Heavenly Father.  I am so grateful that our Heavenly Father watches out for our children no matter where they are at, we are so blessed.

Report from Philippines

Shauntae's friend let her know that her family found out that Elder Devin Davis is okay, and they are without communication.  Wow what a relief to here that.  I love how we get little miracles and tender mercies sent our way.

Devin's Mission Typhoon Glenda

Devin is in Linbon Philippines right now, right where  typhoon Glenda went through.  We haven't heard from him for two weeks.  We have faith that he is okay and Heavenly Father is protecting him, but we haven't received any news from his mission President.  We are sure it is because the power is down.  It is really hard as a mother to be strong, waiting and checking the e mail every day for your boy to write home.  Shauntae has a friend from the Philippines that lives here and her family  lives in the Philippines.  She is going to have them contact Devin's mission President to find out any information.  Until then we are saying a lot of prayers.
