Nov 21 & 22 Time Out For Women

This was the first time that I have gone to Time Out For Woman.  The theme was Stand as a Witness and Become Living Proof.  I went with Brittany, Shauntae, and Rochelle.  We stayed in a hotel in Salt Lake and then we would walk to the Salt Palace where it was held.  What a wonderful weekend!!  I didn't want it to end, it was filled with the spirit and I walked away wanting to be a better person.  The speakers that we had were, Mary Cook, Sheri Dew/Studio C, Mary Ellen Edmunds, Lisa Valentine Cook, Tim Ballard, Hank Smith, and Emily Freeman.  We were entertained with wonderful music from Jenny Oaks, she played the violin, and the singers Gentri.  One experience that I had at TOFW is when Mary Cook was talking about miracles.  For some reason I felt in my back pocket to see if my hotel key card was still there.  It was gone.  I got this sick feeling and couldn't think of anything except where could it be and how much am I going to have to pay for another one.  After her talk was over we had a break.  They had just announced how excited they were that 5,000 women had   been there to the event.  I got even sicker, there is no way I will ever find this key now.  That means there will be 10,000 feet walking around and I'm not even sure where I've lost it.  Rochelle went with me to where I had bought a shirt and they said there was no lost and found, but people were starting to take things to a table in the hall.  We went to the table and I asked the lady sitting there if a purple hotel key had been turned in.  She reached into her box and pulled it out!!  Someone had just turned it in.  With much gratitude my eyes filled up with tears and they ran down my cheeks.  I had just had my miracle!  We stayed in a hotel over night and it was so fun bonding with the girls.  It felt like girls camp all over again, we stayed up late laughing all night.  At 10:00pm we ordered a pizza from the hotel which we decided an 8 inch wasn't big enough so Rochelle and Shauntae made a pizza run to Little Caesars.  We finally went to bed around 1:00am  We can hardly wait until next year!!!  We are already planning on going again.

Sept 10 Grand Kids First Soccer Game

Addie, Paityn, and Paisley had their first soccer game today.  They are all on the same team which makes it nice for us.  It was so fun to watch them.  They were trying to figure out which way to run, how to kick the ball, how to get up after someone knocked them over, and how to stay on the field.  By the end of the game half of the players were sitting with their parents because they were so tired.  It was funny.  I can hardly wait for the next ga

me!!

Sept 10 Paisley's 3rd Birthday

Shauntae got moved into her new house and was able to have Paisley's party here.  She had a Princess Belle party.  It was so cute!!  Paisley was dressed like Belle and the real Belle even came to the party.  She had the kids sit at a table and have a tea party with Belle.  Shauntae made a Belle cake that turned out darling even though she got so stressed out over it and had to cut the barbies legs off. ha ha  (no one even knew)  We gave Paisley her Princess car to drive for her birthday.  She got so many nice gifts.  It was fun to see them.

Sept 4 Labor Day Weekend

Labor Day weekend is always a fun weekend.  All of the family spends time at the cabin and we have fun, fun, fun!  Cal celebrated his 55th birthday, the kids played at swim beach, we made pumpkins out of pieces of wood that was laying around,  the kids also made pumpkins.  We went to the parade and took the kids to Moose pond fishing.  We made a lot of new memories and we all wished that we had a few more days before we had to go home.
