Brittany's mission
Brittany is loving her mission. I thought I would share a couple of stories. She caught a bunch of coch roaches in her pench and decided to boil them. She said it was really funny watching them until it started to stink really bad then she had to get rid of them. She found a big taranchula in her pench while she was cleaning and put it in a box and put it outside she didn't know what to do with it. She said the people feed them a lot of chicken. When they serve it, it still has hair, feathers, and veins on it. Yuk!! Her and her companion was walking on the sidewalk and it was real windy. A lady came out and told them they should walk on the street because the power lines are not real safe. Right after they went to the street the power lines came down on the sidewalk. She said if they hadn't gone in the street they would have been electricuted. I am so grateful that our Heavenly Father watches out for our missionaries.

Halloween 2009
Halloween is a lot different when your children are older. No more cute costumes, or walking them around the block to get candy. Shauntae went to The Discovery Church to help the Africa children with their Halloween party. She goes there sometimes and tutors them. Devin went to a friends house and watched a movie and carved pumpkins. Then he came home and went to another friends party. Cal and I were empty nesters that night. I kept forgetting that it was Halloween until the door bell rang. Devin is really good at carving pumpkins I told him that when he is married he still has to carve me a pumpkin. Shauntae also got a pretty boquet of flowers from her boyfriend.

Letters For Emily
In Relief Society we are doing a book review. The book is called "Letters For Emily" by Camron Wright. I am not much of a reader but I could not put this book down. It is about a little girls Grandpa that is afflicted with Alzheimers. He wants people to remember him as he used to be not how he is now. It is a very heartfelt story. And makes you look at your own life differently. I would recommend this book to everyone.

Devin's Eagle
Devin had his Eagle Court of Honor last night. There were a total of 5 boys receiving their Eagle. We had the eagle come and learned a lot about it. Devin made 25 fleece blankets and 20 knitted scarves for the Huntsman Cancer Center. It took 115 hours to complete his project. Thank you everyone who helped. We are so proud of him!! Congratulations Devin!! We love you so much!!!! Devin completed his eagle at the age of 14.

Labor Day Weekend
We had alot of fun on Labor Day weekend. The guys and Shauntae all went fishing and Rochelle and I went to the Manila Parade. We went out in the boat and Devin, Dustin, and Shauntae all went wake boarding. We rode the four wheelers a little bit and we were able to enjoy our fire pit that we have been working so hard on.
