Addie's first Christmas

The boys playing with helicopters

Christmas Day

It is a tradition that I fix Christmas breakfast for everyone on my side of the family. We had everyone come over at 9:00am to eat. Before that we opened presents, it was so good to have Brittany back home from her mission to be able to spend Christmas with us. After everyone left Cal, Dustin, and Devin went duck hunting and Rochelle and I stayed home with Addie. Brittany went with Brett to a party on his side of the family. Around 7:00pm everyone trickled back in for Christmas dinner. No luck on the duck hunt but they had fun trying. It is crazy how fast Christmas comes and goes, but the feeling of love for each other is always there, which I am so grateful for. I love my family so much I just love being around them and doing things with them.

Christmas Eve

We had so much fun on Christmas Eve. We went bowling at 10:00am with all of the Davis family. Devin always gets the high score this time it was 171. Way to go Devin!! Then we went to Chili's for lunch. Cals mom and dad came with us, we had an enjoyable time visiting with them. Then we went to see a movie it was called The Unstoppable. I would recommend this movie to all of you movie goers it keeps you on the edge of your seat the whole time. Then we came back home and had munchies all night and played bingo. It was so much fun being with the family all day.

Addie's First Thanksgiving

Christmas Tress

Gingerbread Houses

Thanksgiving

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving at the cabin. The snow storm didn't hit Flaming Gorge, but it was really cold like -4 in the morning. Cal, Dustin, Devin, Brittany, and her friend Brett went duck hunting and fishing Thanksgiving morning while Rochelle and I cooked dinner. They got a few ducks but no fish the fishing has been terrible this year. After we ate they all went out rabbit hunting and got 7 rabbits, not to bad. Rochelle and I played with little Addie and tried to stay warm. Later that night we watched movies and decorated gingerbread houses. Thank you Brandie for making them for us. The next day we went fishing from the shore and only got one fish. Then we decided to go and cut down our Christmas trees. The permits are only ten dollars, pretty good deal. We had a lot of fun hiking in the snow. It was so deep it came above my knees. It was fun laughing at each other falling down in it because it was so hard to walk. We got a real tall tree, Cal said it weighed about 150 pounds. It was hard getting it out because of the deep snow but it smelled so good and was so pretty it was worth it. I love Thanksgiving being with my family and spending quality time with them. Next year we will have Shauntae and Spencer with us so that will be fun.

Snow Storm

I love the first snow storm that we get each winter and then I am ready for it to be warm again. I can never make up my mind. Ha ha. The little kids across the street made a big snowman so I took a picture of it also. We got about 14 inches. Another big storm is moving our way they say that some schools might be closed down with this next storm.

Swan Hunt

Last Saturday, November 20, Cal, Dustin, Brittany, and Devin, went swan hunting. They took the small duck boat to Bear Fiver Refuge. It was a cold, windy, day. Luckily Brittany had a heater to sit next to. Cal and Dustin got a swan, Devin got a duck, and Brittany tried to stay warm. They had a great time!

Soggy Bottom Boys

Cal and some friends put together a little band in our ward, their name is the Soggy Bottom Boys. We had a ward party and they were asked to play for the entertainment. They did a great job. Cal got a little confused on his solo and forgot the words but that made it even funnier. One of the best parts besides the singing is their costumes.

Addie 2 Weeks Old

I can't believe Addie is 2 weeks old already.Devin made her some hats so we were having a hat fashion show and she slept through the whole thing, she didn't care which hat she wore. She is so precious and such a joy in our lives.
