Girls Camp

I was invited to girls camp, that was held at our cabin.  We had 12 girls go so it was a perfect amount.  We left Tue. morning, when we got there we took the girls tubing down the river.  That night Cal took the girls out crawdad hunting.  It was so fun to watch them scream.  They ended up with 8 of them.  We left at 11:00pm and brought them back and cooked them.  At midnight the girls had a midnight snack of crawdads.  They really liked them.  On Wed. we went to Swim Beach and boated all day.  We ended at 7:30pm.  The girls were worn out after tubing, surfing, and wake boarding.  On Thur. we left at 5:30am to go to the Vernal Temple.  The Temple President told us that President Hinkley had the baptism font that was in the Salt Lake visitor center brought to the Vernal Temple.  It is there now being used for baptisms.  The leaders were able to be temple workers in the baptistry while the girls were doing baptisms.  It was so awesome.  On the way back we stopped at a cave called the Brush Cave.  Cal found this cave when the boys were up here, it is by Diamond Mountain.  It is the 7th biggest cave in the United States.  Inside is a really big ice sculpture that almost reaches the ceiling.  It is about 30 degrees in there.  When we got back to the cabin we played games, Cal introduced the girls to the mongoose, had Testimony meeting, and then had root beer floats. On Friday we took the girls horse back riding at Red Canyon Lodge.  They made purses out of a t-shirt while they waited their turn, they were so cute.  Then we went back and left for home.  It was such a fun girls camp the girls were so great and fun to be around.  They all said, that was the funnest girls camp that they had ever been on.  Glad to be home to catch up my sleep. lol
