Disney On Ice Rockin Ever After

Wed. March 5 we went with the family to Disney on ice.  It was so much fun.  I love watching the kids dance and sing to the music.  They are jumping around since the beginning to the end.  They are standing most of the time so they can see and feel more closer to the skating ring.  We had Grandma and Grandpa Reynolds, and Grandma and Grandpa Davis come this time.  Even Cal came,  it made it a lot more fun having more people.  Here are some pictures to show you the night.

Tender Mercies

Cal and I go home teaching to a man named Don Robertson.  We have grown to love him so much.  He has come a long way to soften his heart..  At first he would not let anyone come into his house.  Now he has changed a lot.  His wife passed away last year from Alzheimers and he is all alone.  They have no children.  He has came to church a couple of times now.  The other day we seen an ambulance at his house.  We followed it to the hospital.  Cal got called to another room to give a blessing and I was a lone with Don.  While we were talking he told me that he quit smoking last Aug. because of me and Cal.  He said that he loves us so much that he wanted to do that for us.  What a tender moment, we were both crying and the spirit was so strong.  His goal is to go to the Temple and be sealed with his wife.  He is taking little baby steps but I know he will make it to the Temple one day. He is going to be alright, he had an ulcer in his stomach that was bleeding.  So after some blood transfusions and fixing the ulcer he was able to come home.

New couch for the girls

We bought a little couch for the grandchildren to sit on.  It also pulls out into a bed.  They love to jump off of it.  It also makes their hair static.

Grandma Babysitting

When I was tending Paityn and Paisley I was doing my make up. Some how they got a hold of my brush blush and got it wet.  The pictures can explain the rest.  They wouldn't let me wash it off the rest of the day because they looked so pretty.

Stake Conference

March 2 we had our stake conference.  It is always so good I enjoy going to the meetings and seeing what I need to improve on.  They covered indexing, we were told that there are enough names to index that it would take 200-300 years to complete them..  They said we do not have enough time,  we need to do them in 20-30 years.  We also need to do more missionary work.  Cal talked me into singing in the choir.  This was my first time singing in a choir and I really liked it.  I loved the spirit that I felt as I sang the songs.  We sang I Feel My Savior's Love and Be Still My Soul.

Devin's mission

Devin has been out for 6 months now, serving his mission.  The last three weeks have not gone well for him.  Cal told him that maybe he is going through these trials because Heavenly Father is preparing him for something.  It is hard to see your children go through hard times, but we have to have faith that Heavenly Father is taking care of them.

Dental Assisting Training

Feb 21 Dr.. Winder started training me to be a Dental Assistant.  Wow was I nervous to sit in the chair for my first time.  The first patient went well.  The next patient had cavities on his bottom teeth right in front.  It is really hard to get the suction and the water in their mouth with all of the dentist instruments to.  I kept sucking up his lip.  I felt so bad.  I told him I was just learning and he said he could tell.  He said no sweat fell on his face from me so he figured everything went well. Ha ha Better luck next time?

Released from Stake Primary

Feb. 18 the stake President called all of us in to his office.  He released us from our Primary callings.  What a sad day all of us were crying.  He then asked each of us to say something and bear our testimony.  All of us said  about the same thing.  I love working with these wonderful women, I know that they are women of God.  When I am around them they make me feel like a better person.  They magnify their calling and I learn so much from them.  Kathy Anderson, Debbie Williams, Louis Bishop were the ladies that I served with.  I love these sisters and I believe that will we continue to be good friends forever.  I am so glad that I had this opportunity to work in the stake and to be over the baptisms.  I made a lot of new friends and I was able to feel of the spirit every time that I went and visited Primaries and Baptisms.  I really felt the love of the children and the love that the Primary leaders had for their Primary children.  I will really miss going to the Primary programs those are my favorite!!

Feb. 14, 2014 Valentines Day

I cannot believe it is Valentines day already, time goes by so fast.  Cal always spoils me for Valentines day, even though I tell him not to by me anything.  This year he bought me a beautiful bouquet of flowers and a shimmer diamond necklace.  The middle diamond wiggles to the beat of your heart.  I always cry when he buys me things like that, he is so thoughtful I love him so much!!!  That night we went up to the cabin to get it ready for Cals priests, they are having a camp out next week.
