Tender Mercies

Cal and I go home teaching to a man named Don Robertson.  We have grown to love him so much.  He has come a long way to soften his heart..  At first he would not let anyone come into his house.  Now he has changed a lot.  His wife passed away last year from Alzheimers and he is all alone.  They have no children.  He has came to church a couple of times now.  The other day we seen an ambulance at his house.  We followed it to the hospital.  Cal got called to another room to give a blessing and I was a lone with Don.  While we were talking he told me that he quit smoking last Aug. because of me and Cal.  He said that he loves us so much that he wanted to do that for us.  What a tender moment, we were both crying and the spirit was so strong.  His goal is to go to the Temple and be sealed with his wife.  He is taking little baby steps but I know he will make it to the Temple one day. He is going to be alright, he had an ulcer in his stomach that was bleeding.  So after some blood transfusions and fixing the ulcer he was able to come home.
