New Boat In The Water

We we went to the cabin this weekend to try out the new boat.  Dustin and Cal went fishing and caught a few kokanees  and then at night they caught 21 burbut.  The next day all of us went in the boat and tried it out.  It rides really smooth.  I really like it except it is a lot colder than I am used to.  Our other boat had a place we could go inside and get warm.  Good thing we brought blankets to warm up in.  Addie brought in 2 fish and then we didn't have any bites after that.  While we were at the cabin we made apple smiles.  We used peanut butter to make marshmallows stick on the apple.  Addie had a lot of fun making them.  We can hardly wait to go on the boat again!

Disney On Ice

On March 4, 2015 we went with all of the family to Disney On Ice.  This time the theme was Let's Celebrate.  It is so amazing how good the ice skaters are, and how they make the characters come to life.  The grand kids really get into it.  That is my favorite part is watching them and the expressions on their faces.  They stand up and dance to the music, wave, clap and cheer.  It is so much fun.  The best part is being with the whole family.  We even had both sets of grandparents there which always make it extra special.  I can't wait for next time.

New Boat

Cal decided that he wanted to get a new fishing boat.  In order to do so he had to sell both of his old boats, the ski boat and the fishing/duck boat.  The new boat is a Crestliner  Sportfish SST.  It will also pull water skiers.  I stood by the engine and it is taller than me.  Boys and their toys!

One Week Later

March 3 one week later after surgery my bladder is not working very well anymore.  I went to the Doctor and I have a really bad UTI and he sent me home with a catheter.  I have to do a self catheter for 2 weeks. FUN? NOT!!  I also got an antibiotic.  Hopefully the pain will go away soon.

Bladder Surgery

Feb. 24, 2015 I thought I had an old age bladder being 51 and all.  My bladder would leak every time I would move, cough, sneeze, laugh, pick up grand kids, jump, run, walk, etc.  I finally got brave enough and went to the Doctors.  It ended up being my urethra was not working right.  So I went to Riverton Hospital and had what is called a sling surgery.  Everything went very well.  I just had a hard time waking up after the surgery.   I cannot lift anything over 5 pounds the first two weeks.  For 6 weeks I cant do any lifting, pushing,or pulling, because it could stretch the sling back out and then it wont work.  The hardest part is not being able to hold the grand kids.  It is very boring not doing anything I get stir crazy very easily, but it will be worth it when it is all better.  The girls at work were so cute they bought me this beautiful orchid.

Valentines Day

February 14 it is Valentine's Day.  We went to our church building this morning and cleaned it with a few other couples in the ward.  When we were done we decided it would be fun to go to breakfast.  Everywhere we went was so busy and the wait was so long we decided it was not a good idea.  We ended up going to Morgan Jewelry Store.  They were serving cookies so we joked that the cookie was our breakfast.  Cal bought me a new bracelet and some more Valentine charms to put on it.  He also bought me some beautiful flowers!!  He always spoils me.  I love him so much!!  I am so grateful that I get to spend eternity with him!!!

LIFT RS lesson

In relief society we had a lesson on LIFT.  This is what the letters stand for
L=Love
I=Invite
F=Fellowship
T=Testify
We were then challenged to do all 4 of these things each day to help us be a better person.

3 girls sleepover

We decided to let all 3 girls sleepover on a Sunday night.  They were so excited!!  They watched a video and had popcorn to eat.  When it was time to sleep no one wanted to go to bed.  Addie and Paisley went to sleep first.  We ended up taking Paityn in our room and making a bed on the floor for her.  It was 11:00 and she was still awake.  She had a pretend cat named Sockies.  She said he kept getting out of her sleeping bag and she would chase him all over and then bring him back to bed.  It was hard not to laugh because I was trying to pretend I was asleep.  I fell asleep and I'm not sure what time she went to bed.  In the morning Paisley started crying at 6:30 and woke everyone up.  We made Mickey Mouse pancakes for breakfast, that is their favorite.  Then we played, everyone was grumpy the rest of the day because they were so tired.  What a fun adventure.

Preschool at our house

Shauntae was teaching the girls about the 5 senses in preschool.  On this day she was teaching them about how they can hear things through their ears.  These are the ears they made.

Addie's 1st Dance Program

Addie had her first dance program at Kearns High School.  We were all nervous because we didn't know what she would do, if she would actually dance or just stand there.  When she got on stage she did the whole dance I had a hard time holding back the tears.  I don't know why I get so emotional.  I was so proud of her.  When she was done we gave her some flowers along with several other people.  She was so happy!!

Easton's Blessing

February 1, 2015 was Easton's blessing.  He looked so handsome all dressed in white.  It is so precious to see these babies that have just come from Heaven.  Brett gave him a beautiful blessing.  After church we went to Brittany and Brett's house for some lunch.  We had sandwiches, salads, chips and dip, desserts,and more.  We came away very full.  After everyone left Brittany dressed the kids in her favorite football team clothes.  The Patriots!  They were playing in the super bowl and they even won.  When Brett seen the kids he took their clothes off really fast because he likes the Packers it was so funny.  When he left for work Brittany put them back on again. lol
