Duck Hunting at Flaming Gorge

On Sept. 23 and 24 the gang went duck hunting at Flaming Gorge. This year they got Wyoming and Utah stamps so they can hunt both sides of the lake and ponds. They had a lot of fun and shot a lot of ducks. I am glad that I'm not the one eating them.

Devin Has Shingles!

The weekend of Sept 24th, Devin went duck hunting at Flaming Gorge. When he came back to the cabin he showed me his rash and I thought he was just allergic to some weeds that he had been in. A couple of days later Devin came up to me and he said Mom I have shingles. I said WHAT! He told me that he looked it up on the internet. So I ran him over to the insta care and he was right. Good thing he wants to be a dermatologist.

Sept 17 Brittany's House

The weekend of Sept 17, Brittany and Brett moved into their new house. They were so excited!! They live in West Jordan out by Baccus Highway.

Selling Motor Home Sept. 21

We thought we would try selling the motor home. It was a hard decision but since we don't use it much we thought we would see what we could do. We put it on ksl and no luck. An rv place called us and they are trying to sell it. They have it for 90 days. After that we will have the motor home again. We are not trying very hard to sell it we'll just see what happens.

Addie Wearing Hair Clip

While we were at the cabin I got my hair clip out and was playing with Addie. I put it in her hair to see what she would look like.

Melanoma Scare

I have had a brown mole with black stuff in the middle for a long time. I haven't thought of getting it checked until about a month ago, something told me that I should get it looked at. Well Brittany was going to the dermatologist so I made my appt. the same time so we could ride together. The Dr. didn't like the way mine looked so he cut out a quarter size hole, and sent me home. A month later he called me back in and said that it didn't look good, they have to cut more. When I went in he said that my mole was turning into melanoma and they need to treat it like cancer. After surgery I have 23 stitches. I feel like I have dodged a bullet that I don't have melanoma. I am so grateful for all of my many blessings and all that my Heavenly Father does for me. I am so grateful to have the Holy Ghost to speak to me, sometimes he has to speak loud to me so that I will listen. The Dr. is not sure if he got it all we will see on my next appt. When he was done I said teasingly that I will wear my bra backwards because now it will fit better.

Halloween Wreath

Conference weekend Oct.1 and 2 we all made a Halloween wreath to hang on our front doors. This was a project that took longer than we thought. Luckily we cut out the material at home so all we had to do is tie it onto the wreath while watching conference. It takes 2 yards of each color. We used 4 colors. Cut into 1 inch strips by 6 inch. We tied them onto a wire wreath, added a bow and a bouncy spider. We got everything at JoAnne craft store even the letters.
