Last Day In Primary

Sunday was my last day in Primary. I don't do well with change. Let's say I had a melt down. It is really hard being pulled out of a presidency. I was conducting Sunday and I was doing pretty good until the end. Our Primary president Peggy Edmunds got up and told the children that it was my last day in primary. They were so shocked. Some of them came running to me hugging me. I got up to finish conduct and I told them that I wanted to leave them my testimony. I started to cry. I looked out and one girl had tears running down both of her cheeks, some other children were wiping there eyes. When I finished they all took turns giving me a hug and I told each one of them that I loved them. One little boy was worried that he couldn't help me in preschool any more. It was such a tender moment saying goodbye to the children. The moms told me they all went home sad that day. I came home from church and I cried myself to sleep. What a hard day.

Crazy Week

Cal has been Bishop for a week now. We had the craziest week! I thought I could cry or laugh about it and I chose to laugh it is much easier. So Monday Cal went to work and all of his welding things had been stolen, I went down to get ready for preschool and my preschool room had been flooded. What a mess. The rain gutter had pulled away from the house and the rain filled up the window and went into the house. We went out into the motor home and in the bathroom the vent on top had broke off when we came home from Marysvale and the bathroom was also flooded. Then Cal cut open his head on a pipe at work. He went to insta care and he wouldn't let them shave his head because he had to conduct on Sunday. So they put staples in it, they don't even numb it up. Then we went to our cabin and we have mice everywhere!!! Yuk! So we tried cleaning and washing the best we could. On our way home we brought back the duck boat. It was really windy and it shredded the boat cover to pieces. I just had to laugh and said we could hang it in a tree and use it for a Halloween decoration. So all in all we had a pretty good week.

Four Wheeling in Marysvale

Conference weekend in Oct. we went four wheeling in Marysvale. It was a little chilly. The trails were dirt roads so a little dusty, with trees lined on both sides colored in yellow, orange, and red. It was so pretty. About the first hour Dustin's four wheeler broke down, so Dave and Vicky road together and Dustin and Rochelle road on one of their razors, so they could finish the ride. On the way back a lady that was with us Kathy Ford went off a cliff. Luckily she had her helmet on because she landed head first. We had to get an ambulance for her and she went to Rich field hospital. She broke a rib and fractured 4 vertebrates in her back. She will be okay but she is in a lot of pain. The next day two of our four wheelers broke down before we got started so we were left with the razor working. Us girls stayed back so the guys could go on a ride. We found a guy their that worked on them for us and got tow of them running. Then Addie and I were watching TV and she head bonked me and gave me a black eye. Besides all of that we had a fun time being with the family and making more memories.

Paityn and Paisley Playing

Paityn baby blessing

On Sept. 30 Paityn was blessed. She was so beautiful she looked like a little angel. After church Brittany and Brett had everyone over for a luncheon at their house. We did some generation pictures with the Grandmas and Grandpas.

Humbling weedend

Sunday October 14, 2012 Cal Was Ordained the Bishop of our ward, the South Jordan 6th ward. He was called the weekend of the Brigham City Temple dedication. He hasn't been able to sleep or eat since. On Sunday the Stake President ordained him and gave him the most beautiful blessing. It seemed like after that was his first night of sleep and his first meal again. Then on Tue. Oct. 16, I was called in to see the Stake Presidency. I received a new calling. I am the second counselor in the Stake Primary Presidency. I am excited for the calling and for the ladies that I will be working with. I am really sad to be leaving our ward Primary. It is always hard being pulled out of a presidency that you have worked with for so long and have grown to love. Then while we were there the Stake President asked if Cal and I will be the witness couple for our Stake Temple Day. It was an honor to tell him yes. I feel like I have so many blessings in my life, and I am so grateful that I am married to such a good husband.
